Residential Carpet Cleaning
TECNI CLEAN separates itself from the competition by giving the customer a choice of 3 carpet cleaning methods.
During the customers FREE in home estimate, and in conjunction with the cleaning consultant, the customer is educated to what level of cleaning is achieved with each method.
Each job we approach has a variable soiling issues and each carpet cleaning method has it’s Pros and Cons. Depending on the clients expectations and request a method is chosen to meet with their needs, wants, and expectations.
The three cleaning methods TECNI CLEAN employs are:
1) Steam Cleaning / Hot Water Extraction:
Pros: Deeper cleaning, more chances that stains and spots are removed
Cons: Carpet can remain damp for up to 12 to 48 hours depending on level soiling and atmospheric conditions related to relative humidity. Booties provided and worn to walk on the carpet till completely dry. Some spots may reappear after drying do to the carpet wicking.
2) Spin Bonnet, Dry Cleaning / Dry Chem:
Pros: Carpet is pre sprayed with a product called an encapsulant and then is buffed with an absorbent pad attached to a floor machine. Dry time is reduced to 30 to 60 minutes as the carpet is not saturated with the cleaning product. Is a a good interim cleaning process. Carpet is dry and able to walk on within 30 to 60 minutes depending on soiling.
Cons: This method is not suggested for heavily soiled carpets and is not a suggested method for repeat cleaning. This method works well when used in conjunction with the steam cleaning method in an alternating cleaning maintenance program. The primary issue is the product build up after each cleaning. The compounding effect of the product attracts more soil and the absorbent pad fails to remove all the product build up and soil during future cleanings
3) HOST Dry Cleaning:
Pros: This dry compound after being applied and agitated sets up and dries within 10 to 15 minutes. The product is vacuumed up leaving the area soiled cleaned and completely dry to walk on immediately after vacuuming. No down time for carpet to dry.
The HOST Dry Extraction cleaners are USDA Certified 100% biobased and biodegradable.
Cons: This method can sometimes not be effective in heavily soiled situations and some spots that may be able to be removed through hot water extraction may remain after this cleaning process.
